Stevie Nicks On NBC's Up All Night

On last week’s episode of the NBC comedy Up All Night, TV producer Reagan (Christine Applegate) tells the Oprah-like daytime talk show host Ava (Maya Rudolph) that she’s booked Stevie Nicks to perform on the show. The two ladies then hug and scream with excitement. As I was watching this, I was thinking, yeah, pretty much, I can see me and my girlfriends reacting the same way. I mean, c’mon, it’s STEVIE NICKS!

You can watch the full episode of Up All Night, titled “Letting Go,” here below, along with a video interview with Nicks, who talks about being a fan of Up All Night as well as of the actresses on the show, which is why she wanted to do the guest spot.

The episode is peppered with Nicks references and music, as well as several scenes with the artist, so if you’re a fan of the Fleetwood Mac songstress, you’ll LOVE this. Be sure to watch til the very end of the episode for an awesome sequence that I’ve dreamed of experiencing myself.

Movie Review: Bridesmaids

BridesmaidsBridesmaids
Directed by Paul Feig
Starring: Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Chris O’Dowd, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper, Melissa McCarthy, Jon Hamm
Release Date: May 13, 2011

Hollywood finally thought that a movie about women having fun should get made, and that this novel perception could be adequately funny. What a great idea! Not a pampered fun, though, the girls in Sex and the City have been relishing. Not even a subdued fun the girls in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants had. Let’s try for a fun that is manly, demeaning, and vulgar. Maybe this is the kind of comedy women will flock to see. Geez, such wishful thinking. Maybe the bulk of moviegoers fantasize about the deconstruction of the ideal beauty women rightly and proudly possessed for decades and millenniums. Truthfully, what’s not to admire when a woman bears striking resemblance to a character that Jonah Hill or Seth Rogen played? It is about time Hollywood let women experience the glitz and glamor not of Gucci or Vera Wang, but of the films Judd Apatow has had some influence on.

Striving for justice in a comedic world littered with uninspiring material that poses as comedy may seem like a daunting task. Genuineness is inapplicable in most comedies and the streak, sadly, continues with director Paul Feig‘s Bridesmaids, scripted by co-stars Kristen Wiig, of Saturday Night Live fame, and Annie Mumolo. The script has no abundance of humor. It is scarce and limited. Scenes desperately seeking that elusive, original idea that permits and encourages the audience to revel in its inventiveness are nowhere to be found.

Must Watch: Billy Crystal Returns For ‘When Harry Met Sally 2’ With Helen Mirren

The Movie God   |  @   |

We haven’t seen a whole lot of Billy Crystal lately, and this is a very depressing thing for anyone who’s known and loved his movies over the years.

The legendary entertainer and best Academy Awards host of all-time has been staying under the radar for the most part and has only done a few things since 2002, but recently he came out of hiding to re-team with director Rob Reiner and pitch their case for a sequel to his much-loved romantic comedy, When Harry Met Sally.

As Hollywood tends to work these days, however, the executives who hear the pitch decide they want to make just a tiny little change to their pitch. The resulting movie is too good to spoil, so you must click on over to the other side to check it out. The hilarious parody of Hollywood’s lack of originality is littered with great cameos and you shan’t regret watching it, this I promise you.

Funny or Die Presidents

Funny or Die is known for their hilarious videos — many of which feature well-known actors in Saturday Night Live-like sketches.

Recently, the site released a new video directed by Ron Howard that reunited a bunch of SNL alumni and some special guests for a message about the Consumer Financial Protection Agency. The hopes here is that this message will reach the eyes of President Barack Obama and help him with some majorly important decisions.

SNL is renowned for always having someone who creates a comical caricature of whomever the President is at the time for use in the many skits that will be written using that person. Currently, that job is owned by Fred Armisen, who portrays Obama whenever a skit for him is penned.

Continue on over to the other side to see the video!
