Last year came word that Jon Stewart would be taking the summer off from his duties as the host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show to make a movie.

That movie is titled Rosewater, and it stars Gael Garcia Bernal as a journalist who is held prisoner and interrogated for being a spy. It’s based on the true story of Maziar Bahari, and is of great importance to Stewart personally as one of the reasons Bahari was accused of being a spy is because he was a guest on The Daily Show.

Now the first trailer for Rosewater has been released, and you can watch it and read a full synopsis below.
