UPDATED: Rumor: ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Reboot Delayed For Reshoots?

Jonathan Liebesman‘s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot may be getting pushed back, even though Paramount just released the film’s first full-length trailer a couple days ago.
According to a source connected with production, the film is being pushed back in order to complete necessary reshoots. The source claims that roughly one-third of the film is being completely reshot and that producer Michael Bay is personally overseeing work on the film – which has taken away valuable time from his work on Transformers: Age of Extinction post-production.

Watch Now: The First ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Reboot Trailer Debuts

The first full trailer for this summer’s Michael Bay-produced and Jonathan Liebesman-directed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot has premiered online a few days following its unveiling at this year’s CinemaCon. You can watch it here below.
The clip is framed by narration from William Fichtner‘s lily-white Shredder, explaining to April O’Neill (Megan Fox) how the city has fallen into ruin and chaos and how he and her father tried to stem the rising tide of violence by creating their own heroes. Yes friends, Shredder had a hand in creating the Ninja Turtles.

More Images Of Megan Fox As April O’Neil In ‘Ninja Turtles’ Arrive … This Time Wearing A Little Yellow
|
 |

We just saw our first glimpses of Megan Fox as April O’Neil in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, but they showed very little. The uninformed would have just assumed they were images of Fox doing a little exercise…with a Channel 6 microphone. Why not.
But now some new images of Fox as O’Neil have been released, and they may make you just a tad bit happier. This time around Fox is wearing something yellow, though it’s not the full yellow jumpsuit we imagine when thinking of Miss O’Neil (you know you have). Still, let’s keep in mind that the previous April O’Neil actresses, Judith Hoag and Paige Turco, wore very little yellow as well, so the full-on O’Neil jumpsuit is no requirement.
While I’m skeptical of the movie—and very unsure of Fox being cast; we all know some of the other actresses mentioned for the role were much more appealing—these images are a lot closer to what I’d have pictured for O’Neil. Fox is wearing yellow, but it’s a more modernized, in style yellow. Oh, right, there’s also a possible first look at the movie’s logo, and Will Arnett is there too!

Geek Peek: First Look At Megan Fox As April O’Neil In New ‘Ninja Turtles’

Whether the news of Transformers and Jennifer’s Body star Megan Fox being cast as April O’Neil in the Michael Bay-produced reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles enraged you or not, it’s something that is happening.
To prove it, some new images have been released of Fox as O’Neil for the movie. Basically the pictures are just Fox wearing some workout gear and holding a microphone—there’s no sign of the character’s full yellow jumpsuit; not that it will ever make an appearance in the movie—but you can check them out and share your thoughts below nevertheless.

Retrospective: The Leading Ladies Of Michael Bay’s High-Octane Cinema
|
 |

Michael Bay. Love him or hate him, you can’t deny the director’s ability to make energetic, entertaining, and profitable action films for general audiences. His testosterone-fueled directorial style has influenced the visual vocabulary of the contemporary Hollywood blockbuster more than any other filmmaker.
Bay’s films have grossed $4.5 billion worldwide and are often characterized by explosions, lens flares, 360 Steadicam shots, and never-ending sunsets. While he’s often considered nothing more than an egotistical hack, Bay’s distinct high-octane style is instantly recognizable and – for better or worse – he’s been incredibly consistent throughout his career.
One aspect of Bay’s films that often gets lost in all the explosions and mayhem is the impressive lineup of actresses he’s included in his predominantly male movies. With his latest film, Pain & Gain, about to hit theaters this weekend, I thought it might be a good time to look back at Michael Bay’s filmography, specifically the leading actresses who have since went on to insanely successful careers.
So, check out below The Leading Ladies of Michael Bay’s High-Octane Cinema.

King Tut Learns You Can’t Take It With You, Signs On For ‘Mummy’ Reboot

Looking to bring some authenticity to the planned reboot of The Mummy franchise, director Len Wiseman and Universal Pictures have snagged Tutankhamun, the 18th dynasty Egyptian pharaoh, to star in the new film.
Best known as King Tut, the once-popular pharaoh is reportedly hellbent on making a comeback, as interest in Tut and his many possessions have waned a lot since his tomb was discovered back in 1922. To help make his leap to the silver screen, Tutankhamun is being rep’d by Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities, who hope their client’s involvement in the Universal Pictures sequel will promote tourism and raise Egyptology back from the dead.

Michael Bay’s ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Adds Donatello, Michelangelo & Leonardo Actors

We just found out that The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star Alan Ritchson has been cast as Raphael in the Michael Bay-produced and Jonathan Liebesman-directed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and now comes actors for the remaining three turtles.
It’s being reported that Jeremy Howard will be playing Donatello in the movie, Noel Fisher is playing Michelangelo, and Pete Ploszek will be Leonardo. All of the turtle (yes, yes, we all like them) roles will be performance capture, along the same lines as James Cameron’s Avatar.
