Back at E3 2017 a sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest was announced titled Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Then last year at E3 2018 we saw a gameplay trailer for the sequel.

For E3 2019 this week, a new gameplay trailer has been released. And on top of that, a release date for the game has been revealed. You can find more info on Ori and the Will of the Wisps, the release date, and the new trailer below.

During last year’s E3 conference Microsoft teased us with limited footage of Ori and the Will of the Wisps, the sequel to the 2015 hit release Ori and the Blind Forest. At this year’s E3 Microsoft upped their game by debuting gameplay footage from the highly anticipated sequel.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a platform adventure game where you control the title character, a white guardian spirit, who seeks to discover his true destiny by unraveling the mysteries of the world.

Catching up on some more news out of E3 2017, a sequel to the hit indie side-scroller Ori and the Blind Forest was announced during Microsoft’s media briefing earlier this week.

The sequel, which is titled Ori and the Will of the Wisps, was announced with a trailer. You can watch this trailer below, but be warned—and I’ll be blunt—you’re in for some deeply emotional shit. So if you’re in more of a “sunshine and rainbows and smiles” mood and would rather not be in a “sobbing in the fetal position” mood, you may want to save it for later. OK—maybe that’s a bit hyperbolic. Maybe.

I haven’t had a chance to play the gorgeous action-platform side-scroller Ori and the Blind Forest yet, but it’s definitely on my list. Thankfully for folks like me a new Definitive Edition of the game is being released, which features more content and story and more, so we can enjoy it all at once while those who already played and loved it are enjoying all the new bonus content.
