| Guillermo del Toro’s Possible Black & White Vampire Film ‘Silver’ |
 |

As much as we would have liked to have seen them, Guillermo del Toro‘s version of The Hobbit and planned adaptation of At Mountains Of Madness never happened, though the filmmakers admits that if he had the money he would like to still work on the latter. And as much as it pains Universal, the studio was forced to take the director’s Pacific Rim 2 off the release schedule following rumors of delays and concerns over the first film’s box office performance. But that hasn’t stopped the del Toro from talking about the sequel, even while he is on the current Crimson Peak press tour. While the director said that he was going to turn in a budget and a script to Universal in the coming weeks, del Toro seems to be anticipating that Pacific Rim 2 won’t get the green light. So he has announced his fantastic newest project called Silver, which he describes as a black & white film that sees Mexican wrestlers fight vampire politicians. More on the story below.

When Universal first announced that Pacific Rim 2 was on the backburner, there was some concern that the film could be cancelled altogether. | Guillermo del Toro Talks Ghosts, What’s Next After ‘Crimson Peak,’ ‘Pacific Rim 2’ Status
If you told me Guillermo del Toro was making a live-action My Little Pony movie (don’t go getting any ideas, Hollywood), I’d be excited about it. Anything he does, I’m down for a watch. But while this is true, if you really want to get me pumped up tell me that del Toro is working on a smaller film next. I’ve very much enjoyed his bigger Hollywood flicks like the Hellboy movies, Pacific Rim, and Blade II, but it’s his smaller movies like The Devil’s Backbone and Pan’s Labyrinth that really get me giddy. In a lengthy piece on the director it’s revealed that his next project, after the upcoming gothic horror Crimson Peak, will in fact be one of these smaller movies. In addition to this, del Toro also talked ghostly encounters that have led to his fascination with the paranormal, the status of Pacific Rim 2, and more. Read what he had to say below.

| Guillermo Del Toro Responds To ‘Pacific Rim 2’ Production Halt Rumors
This week was a very revealing one for both Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures. Legendary not only moved Kong: Skull Island over to Warner Bros., but they also got WB to sign a three-picture deal days later. Then, Universal was reportedly unhappy with Warcraft, though director Duncan Jones begs to differ, arguing that being moved next year to the same release date that Jurassic World had this year was a good sign. Finally, it looks as though Universal is deciding between delaying Pacific Rim 2 or just canceling it altogether. Now, the man behind Pacific Rim isn’t giving up hope on its sequel. Director Guillermo Del Toro is now responding to the reports made earlier this week, and even says that it won’t be cancelled, just delayed, and that he may sneak in another movie before directing Pacific Rim 2. More on the story below.
