Fans of The Strain got a sneak peek at the season 1 trailer for The Bastard Executioner, Kurt Sutter‘s newly picked up 10-episode series, which debuts in October on FX.

More “From The Set” videos from Kurt Sutter’s, The Bastard Executioner! This period piece tells the story of an Edwardian knight (newcomer Lee Jones) who doesn’t want that life anymore, but ends up as the title character. These clips show Stephen Moyer (Miles Corbett) on why this was his perfect next gig, and Sam Spruell (Toran Richards) lets us know how you can tell this is an excellent script.

The Kurt Sutter period piece, The Bastard Executioner, has been picked up for a 10-episode order by FX. The pilot, which was written by Sutter and directed by his go-to director, Paris Barclay, recently wrapped in Wales.
