| D23 Expo 2015: ‘The Good Dinosaur’ Brings Prehistoric Tears
The first Pixar film to be presented at Disney’s D23 Expo on Friday during the studio’s portion of the animation panel was The Good Dinosaur. Peter Sohn (Partly Cloudy) makes his feature directing debut on Pixar’s first prehistoric film about Arlo, an apatosaurus who becomes separated from his family, and sets off on a journey that will make him grow stronger physically and as a dinosaur. In The Good Dinosaur, our lead character Arlo is not as strong as his dinosaur siblings, drawing his strength from his father. Unfortunately, his father passes on, and we learn that Arlo eventually becomes separated from his family. The clip that was shown reveals the treacherous waters that nearly drown him. Luckily, he is able to be washed ashore, where he eventually comes across a human named Spot.

Release Date: Oct. 29, 2013 It’s time to scare it up, my fellow geeks! Monsters University sees its home release, and surprisingly, the Blu-ray edition of Pixar’s latest feature is wicked good. Explore Monsters University with me, shall we? James P. Sullivan (John Goodman) and Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) may have given the impression they were always best buddies in Monsters, Inc., but Monsters University proves just the opposite. Travel back in time with Sulley and Mikey to their young adulthood, when Sulley’s pomposity and Mike’s unabashed idealism contrasted with their older personalities. Mike craves to scare for a living, despite his less-than-menacing appearance, and must prove to naysayers that he belongs at the Scare School. He works ceaselessly to understand ways to haunt and chill. Sulley, on the other hand, thinks his family name and reputation will lead him on a road to success, but his egotism impairs his image and potential. The two must collaborate with the non-impressive Oozma Kappa fraternity to save their spots in the Scare School.
