It’s hard to overstate Pantera’s influence on the heavy metal landscape. Phil Anselmo‘s harsh, aggressive vocals bouncing on Dimebag Darrell‘s razor-sharp guitar licks all riding on bassist Rex Brown and drummer Vinnie Paul‘s impossibly heavy groove gave metal a much needed kick up the you-know-what.
