| ‘Ghost In The Shell’ Super Bowl Spot: Scarlett Johansson Gets Assembled Anime Style
Sure, Ghost in the Shell may be wrapped up in a whitewashing controversy, but Rupert Sanders‘ adaptation of the popular manga and anime starring Scarlett Johansson does look good visually. The film takes place in a highly technological futuristic setting, with a special-operations task-force made up of former military officers and police detectives assembled to act as a counter-terrorism force against corrupt officials, companies, and cyber-criminals. | Paramount Releases 5 Teaser Videos For The ‘Ghost In The Shell’ Movie
Back in April we saw the first image of Scarlett Johansson from Paramount Pictures’ live-action adaptation of the Japanese manga Ghost in the Shell. Now Paramount is doing something a little different. They haven’t released the first teaser trailer, or a quick teaser video to promote the release of the first trailer as we see so often these days. Release Date: August 19, 2016 Since studios are big on remakes that use expensive CGI to achieve looks or stunts that couldn’t have otherwise been achieved when the film was first released, it only made sense that we get a remake for Ben-Hur. But just because it sounds good on paper doesn’t exactly mean that it should be made. Then again, if done well, it could avoid being a complete disaster. And so that is where the new Ben-Hur from director Timur Bekmambetov finds itself. The film starring Jack Huston as the title character finds itself following other contemporary remakes that just don’t quite measure up to the originals despite their well-intentions to update the age-old story for a modern audience.
