| J.J. Abrams Seeking All-Encompassing Megadeal With Any Willing Studio
J.J. Abrams is behind some of the biggest pop culture shows and films of this century. From his humble start with Felicity then jumping into spy drama Alias, the mystery box LOST, then blockbuster films like Mission: Impossible III, Super 8, Star Trek, and, of course, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the upcoming Star Wars: Episode IX. And now it looks like he is ready to take his reach a bit further. According to new reports, the filmmaker is looking to sign an all-encompassing megadeal with any studio that would include giving him the power to do whatever he wants. More on the report, below.

| ‘Bumblebee’ Trailer Brings Back Old School Transformers
One of the biggest criticisms of the Transformers film franchise is that it looked nothing like the Transformers fans knew and loved. However, Bumblebee, the first Transformers film spinoff, represents something new and exciting. The teaser trailer gave us a brief look at the fan favorite Autobot’s first mission on Earth, as a VW Bug. | New ‘Bumblebee’ Image Introduces Decepticons Shatter and Dropkick
The upcoming Transformers spinoff Bumblebee promises to be an exciting adventure in the same vein as some of the great Amblin films of the 1980s. Starring Hailee Steinfeld, the film sees one of the bravest Autobots trying to outrun two Decepticon seekers, named Shatter and Dropkick. Now, just ahead of its big San Diego Comic-Con debut, Paramount has dropped a new image from the film, one that introduces the two Decepticons. Check it out below.

| ‘Top Gun 2’: Miles Teller Set To Play Goose’s Son, Tom Cruise’s Protege
Original Top Gun stars Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer are returning for Top Gun 2, but now a newcomer is joining the cast. It’s being reported that Whiplash star Miles Teller has signed on for the sequel, which is officially titled Top Gun: Maverick. But while he wasn’t in the original—in fact, he hadn’t even been born when the original was released—he is playing a character very much tied to the original. Teller will be playing the protege of Cruise’s Maverick, and the son of Maverick’s co-pilot in the original, Goose, who was played by Anthony Edwards.
