‘Creepshow’ Joins Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights 2019 Party

Universal is killing it with their Halloween Horror Nights 2019 mazes. In addition to Ghostbusters and Killer Klowns from Outer Space joining Stranger Things, The Walking Dead, and more, it’s now been announced that Creepshow will also be a part of the ’19 lineup.
A video has been released, seen below, which confirms that Creepshow is coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2019. And even more exciting, that its presence there will be inspired not only by the new Creepshow series coming to Shudder soon from Greg Nicotero (watch a trailer right here), but also the classic 1982 original movie written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II In Talks To Play Candyman In Spiritual Sequel From Jordan Peele

One big question about Jordan Peele‘s spiritual sequel to the 1992 horror classic Candyman, was whether original star Tony Todd would return to once again play the iconic title role or if someone new would be cast.
Now it appears we have an answer. It’s being reported that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has entered into negotiations to play the new Candyman in the movie.

Kevin Smith’s ‘Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back’ Sequel Gets The Greenlight From Saban, Universal

It’s been nearly two years since Kevin Smith revealed that he had written a sequel to his 2001 comedy Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Now we know that the sequel, titled Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, is officially happening with word that Saban Films and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Content Group have given the project the greenlight. Saban has acquired the North American rights, while Universal has the foreign rights.
The movie will once again star Jason Mewes and Smith, reprising their roles as Jay and Silent Bob, and will make fun of Hollywood’s obsession with reboots, remakes, and sequels while at the same time being all three itself.

J.J. Abrams is behind some of the biggest pop culture shows and films of this century. From his humble start with Felicity then jumping into spy drama Alias, the mystery box LOST, then blockbuster films like Mission: Impossible III, Super 8, Star Trek, and, of course, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the upcoming Star Wars: Episode IX. And now it looks like he is ready to take his reach a bit further.
