Universal is killing it with their Halloween Horror Nights 2019 mazes. In addition to Ghostbusters and Killer Klowns from Outer Space joining Stranger Things, The Walking Dead, and more, it’s now been announced that Creepshow will also be a part of the ’19 lineup.
A video has been released, seen below, which confirms that Creepshow is coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2019. And even more exciting, that its presence there will be inspired not only by the new Creepshow series coming to Shudder soon from Greg Nicotero (watch a trailer right here), but also the classic 1982 original movie written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero.
Here’s more on Halloween Horror Nights 2019:
MORE MAZES THAN EVER
Enter a world more terrifying than you can imagine at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights – the most intense, spine-tingling event to besiege Southern California – now with more mazes than ever. Unfortunately, unlike with the aforementioned Ghostbusters and Killer Klowns, no additional info or press release was sent out for the Creepshow announcement. So it’s unclear if it will be coming to both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood or just one of the two.
Hopefully this doesn’t indicate less interest in this particular addition to their lineup. Personally, I think I’d be more excited to venture into something inspired by segments from the ’82 anthology like “Father’s Day,” “The Crate,” and maybe even a fun one based on “The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill” than anything else they’ve announced for this year.
But that’s just me.
