One of the very best decisions that console makers Microsoft and Sony have made, is to offer free games to those who are members of their Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus programs each month. Hundreds of dollars worth of games for free each year. It makes the pill that is having to pay to play (online) much, much easier to swallow.

The free games being offered to PlayStation Plus members for December 2017 have been revealed, and you can see what they are below.

Last week we saw a new trailer for the Shadow of the Colossus remake come out of Paris Games Week 2017.

Also released recently was a peek at actual gameplay from the remake, as well as some information about the game. For existing fans the gameplay trailer will simply show you the shiny new version in action. For those who have never played Shadow of the Colossus before but are exited to discover it for the first time, the preview offers a quick lesson in what the game is all about: navigating a large and lonely open world, figuring out where the next Colossus is, and then figuring out how to bring it down. The video makes doing all of this look pretty easy, but it can be quite a challenge, especially for newcomers.

If you don’t want to know how to defeat any of the Colossi you might want to skip this one…or at least stop watching once the video gets to that point (the image above is also a handy indicator of when to bail). For everyone else, continue below to dive in.

A new trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man video game was released earlier this week for Paris Games Week 2017. The game is developed by Insomniac, the developer behind the Spyro, Ratchet & Clank, and Resistance series, as well as Sunset Overdrive.

We’ve already seen the announcement trailer and even a good peek at gameplay action. The latest preview is a teaser trailer, which takes a closer look at what the game’s story will be about.

Another highly anticipated upcoming title featured during Sony’s PlayStation showcase at Paris Games Week 2017 was God of War, a reboot of the hit franchise of the same name.

For the event a new gameplay trailer was released. The reboot sees series protagonist Kratos transitioning from the Greek mythology he had been wreaking havoc on in previous games, and into Norse mythology.
