1985: eccentric scientist Dr. Emmett “˜Doc’ Brown (Christopher Lloyd) has turned his glorious DeLorean sports car into a time machine. After an attack by disgruntled Libyan terrorists, Doc is killed in a shower of machine gun fire. His young friend [no funny business] Marty (Michael J. Fox) escapes in the DeLorean and upon reaching 88 MPH is transported to the year 1955 — the year his parents met and Doc invented time travel. Can Marty convince the Doc of 30 years ago that he is really from the future and get him to help him to get back to the future? More than that, can he spurn the advances of his teenage mother? Hold on, I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s go back in time.
When a movie begins with the words “˜Steven Spielberg Presents’ as far am I’m concerned it might as well be stamped with “˜you are gonna love this’, because far more often than not, it’s true. This month marks the 25th anniversary of one of the greatest movies of all time that begins with such a statement: Back to the Future. In the quarter of a century that has passed since its opening weekend on July 3, 1985, there are not many movie fans who haven’t seen Back To The Future. And I’m sure the number is even smaller of the people who do not like this movie.

| Robert Zemeckis To Direct Ocean Floor Adaptation ‘Dark Life’
We’re still patiently awaiting a movie based on the horrific underwater video game, Bioshock, but Walt Disney may be looking to transport us to the ocean’s floor a little sooner. It’s being reported that director Robert Zemeckis is adding yet another project to his ever-growing to-do list. Zemeckis will take on an adaptation of the Kat Falls novel, Dark Life, which hasn’t even hit bookshelves yet. Buying up rights to books that haven’t come out yet has become another one of Hollywood’s common habits; a rather risky move considering no one knows how the book itself will be received. If this ends up being a big success on page and screen, however, then they all look like geniuses.

| Robert Zemeckis Casts The Beatles For Motion Capture ‘Yellow Submarine’ |
 |

Not too long ago it was reported that the king of motion capture, Robert Zemeckis, would be remaking The Beatles‘ animated film, Yellow Submarine, using the technology. Now this new project has its cast of four actors who will be offering their voices to the movie as the four legendary Beatles. The trades are reporting that Cary Elwes, Dean Lennox Kelly, Peter Serafinowicz, and Adam Campbell are all in negotiations for the roles (Click image to see all four in comparison). Elwes is the best known of the bunch with his roles in movies like The Princess Bride and Robin Hood: Men in Tights; he would be voicing George Harrison. Peter Serafinowicz isn’t a household name here in the States, but you may know him better than you think. He’s very popular overseas and has appeared as Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s flatmate in Shaun of the Dead, as well as on the popular series Spaced. Serafinowicz would be handling the voice of Paul McCartney. Lennox Kelly would be appearing as John Lennon in the film, and has appeared in The Secret Life of Words as well as popular shows Doctor Who and Robin Hood. Finally, Campbell would be voicing Ringo Starr; he appeared in the recent TV show Harper’s Island, and is looking to find more forgiveness for previous roles in the hated Epic Movie and Date Movie. Click on over to the other side to watch a couple of videos of Peter Serafinowicz showing off why he landed a role.
