Directed by Todd Haynes (I’m Not There, Far From Heaven) and written by Phyllis Nagy (Mrs. Harris), Carol is based on the novel The Price of Salt by Patricia Highsmith.
Set in 1952 in New York City, the movie follows Therese Belivet (Rooney Mara), a twentysomething shop clerk, and her relationship with Carol Aird (Cate Blanchett), an alluring older woman going through a divorce. An aspiring photographer, Therese is working in the toy department of a Manhattan department store when she is approached by Carol, who purchases a model train set for her daughter as a Christmas gift.

New ‘Pan’ Adventure Trailer Released By Warner Bros.
Another new trailer has been released for Pan, the Peter Pan origins movie from Warner Brothers Pictures that presents a new take on the classic characters created by J.M. Barrie.
The movie is directed by Joe Wright, and stars Levi Miller as Peter Pan, Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard, Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily, Garrett Hedlund as a young Captain Hook, and Amanda Seyfried as Mary.

New Trailer For Peter Pan Origins Movie Released
Warner Brothers Pictures has released a new trailer for Pan, the upcoming Peter Pan origins story being released later this year.
The movie tells the story of an orphan boy who finds himself whisked off to Neverland, starting in motion the events that will lead to his eventually becoming the legendary hero himself, the Boy who Wouldn’t Grow Up, Peter Pan.

‘Pan’ Gets Pushed Back From Summer To Fall Release
There has only been one trailer for Joe Wright‘s Pan. The Peter Pan origins story was expected to open in theaters this summer, which would have put it in direct competition with Marvel’s Ant-Man and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.
Now it looks like Warner Bros. doesn’t think the film would fare well against those two films or in the summer movie season in general, as they have rescheduled the movie for a fall release. Hit the jump for more.

Rooney Mara, Tatiana Maslany Testing For 2016 ‘Star Wars’ Standalone Film
Star Wars spinoffs was the first thing that came to mind when Disney announced that they would be releasing a Star Wars film every year when they acquired LucasFilm. So with Star Wars: The Force Awakens already in post-production, its time to look forward to 2016.
Godzilla‘s Gareth Edwards will direct a standalone film based on a draft written by Gary Whitta, who amicably left to write Starlight. He was then reportedly replaced by Simon Kinberg, who was a consultant on The Force Awakens and is an executive producer on Star Wars Rebels. With the script looking like its near completion, Edwards is setting his sights on finding a cast. And it looks like he has narrowed the female lead to three stars.
