| ‘The Brothers Grimsby’: Jimmy Kimmel’s Audience Reacts To Scene That Almost Led To NC-17 Rating |
|
Recently Borat and Les Miserables star Sacha Baron Cohen paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live! and brought along a clip from his new movie, The Brothers Grimsby. The only problem with this particular clip was that it was too graphic to actually show on television. In fact, the clip was so graphic that it apparently almost got the movie an NC-17 rating. As Cohen reveals at the end they still had to trim a few minutes to get it past the Motion Picture Association of America with an R-rating, so that gives us an idea of what we’re dealing with here. Because Kimmel was unable to actually show the clip on TV, they instead showed the audience watching and reacting to watching it. A pretty smart marketing tactic, as watching people reacting to something can sometimes make you want to see it even more than any trailer or clip would. It’s just a good thing the Fine Brothers abandoned their evil plot to take control of reaction videos. You can check out the video below, along with a new red band trailer for the movie.
