Last month, the first promo image for Season 3 of Sherlock was released, which showed Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and John Watson (Martin Freeman) in front of their famous residence, 221B Baker Street.

Now, the first image from the season 3 filming of the series has been released and it features the famous duo reuniting…kinda. Check it out here below.

Recently, geek couple Danielle and Idan commissioned a geek-tacular piece of art from artist Aviv Or. The art is a take on The Beatles’ famous Abbey Road album cover and includes popular characters like Darth Vader, Buffy, and Sherlock, as well as familiar vehicles, props, and other pop culture references.

Back in August, the teaser trailer for Season 3 of Sherlock was released. But at that time, we still didn’t know when the show would return to television in the United States, other than simply in 2014.

Now, the season 3 start date has been revealed, thanks to an exclusive by Entertainment Weekly, who also debuted the first promo image from the third season (see it here below).

Sherlock, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the title character with Martin Freeman as his sidekick Dr. Watson, will return to PBS Masterpiece for the third season on January 19, 2014 at 10pm.
