Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory are two very different films. The latter isn’t as beloved as the former, but it has its fanbase. But now Warner Bros. wants to retell that story once again. This time, with a new face of the sweet and peculiar candy company.

We previously reported that Paddington director Paul King was hired to direct a new adaptation of Roald Dahl‘s children’s book. Now there are new reports saying Solo: A Star Wars Story star Donald Glover, Blade Runner 2049‘s Ryan Gosling, and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them‘s Ezra Miller are on the shortlist to play Willy Wonka. Warner Brothers is currently developing Willy Wonka, a new adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl children’s novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

To help bring the new adaptation to life, Warner Bros. is now in final negotiations with Paul King to direct the feature. King is best known for making Paddington and the recently released Paddington 2. King also directed episodes of The Mighty Boosh and Come Fly with Me, as well as the 2009 film Bunny and the Bull.
