In a surprise drop on February 14th, Stargate Command released the first three episodes of its new MGM digital series, Stargate Origins, to all-access members. The following day, the episodes officially went live for all members. The all-access surprise came a day before the scheduled premiere date.

A new teaser trailer has been released for Stargate Origins, a new web series set in the popular science fiction universe. In addition to the new trailer, a premiere date for the series has also been set.

Origins follows a young Catherine Langford (played by Ellie Gall) as she learns about the ancient Stargate technology.

Stargate Origins has officially begun production on its 10-episode series and has cast a lead actress. Ellie Gall will play the role of Catherine Langford, the woman who discovered the Stargate, as depicted in past films and television series.

The series is being produced in conjunction with New Form and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM). As noted in our story about Geeks of Doom’s exclusive demo at New York Comic Con, the show will air on the new digital platform, Stargate Command, later this year.

Stargate has officially arrived at New York Comic Con, for the first time ever. In celebration of the fandom’s new digital platform and upcoming original series, Stargate Origins, the Stargate Command Lounge opened to fans at the convention. Geeks of Doom had an exclusive experience in the lounge and photo op, as well as a 1:1 demo at Command.
