Game of Thrones panel SXSW 2017

At the Game of Thrones panel at this year’s SXSW, showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff said they’d love to do an episode of Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty once the HBO series concludes.

The response came from a question about what the pair’s plans are beyond the show. As a bit of a surprise, neither hesitated to respond in agreement about collaborating on the sleeper hit cartoon series co-created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. There was, however, one big catch…

Hall Of Faces Game Of Thrones

Die hard Game of Thrones fans will know that there have been several instances throughout the run where well-known musicians made subtle appearances. And at SXSW 2017 today, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss revealed that this season is no different.

Stripped on Bravo

[SXSW 2017 – Stripped is a new series on Bravo where you have nothing – not even your clothes.]

Hauoli VR gestures through subsonic sound

SXSW 2017 – Virtual Reality is everywhere. Earlier today we met Hauoli, a VR startup that seeks to solve the VR gesture recognition problem with audio.

#SXSW2017 – Right now, gestures are hard. Not so much in the real world, but certainly in virtual spaces. Ever since the heady days of Quake III arena, users who wanted to do some digital damage with their avatar’s fingers had to map a key that did little more than flip you off.

Ridley Scott Alien Covenant panel at SXSW 2017

It seems that despite the mixed review that 2012’s Prometheus endured, nearly everyone who is a fan of Ridley Scott‘s 1979 sci-fi horror masterpiece Alien is cautiously excited about his new film Alien: Covenant. There were glimmers of hope in the eyes of all who attended the short panel the acclaimed director participated in today at this year’s SXSW — hope that even though the film is the umpteenth installment of the series, that it’ll be worth the ticket price when it comes out in theaters later this year.
