Somethin' Stupid

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, it’s yet another Skyrim video! If you’ve not noticed, I have something of a obsession going on here, and if it’s Skyrim-related and makes me giggle, it must be shared.

This new video in particular had me giggling like a kid getting tickled by his parents for the first time, unlike that rather strange last video we saw, which only haunted my dreams.

It takes a 2001 Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman duet I had never heard of before titled “Somethin’ Stupid” (which is a cover of the 1967 Frank Sinatra and Nancy Sinatra version, which is itself a cover of the 1966 Carson Parks and Gaile Foote original), and adds just a hint of Skyrim flare to it. The results being very much satisfactory if you’ve played the game. I shan’t say anything else because it’s much funnier if you’re not sure what’s going to happen.

Check out the video below now!

Skyrim Dragon

Yes, that headline is 100% accurate. No need to adjust your screens or whatever it is you kids do these days.

Why YouTube mad scientist FancyPants has made this or the logic behind morphing the late wrestling legend Randy “Macho Man” Savage into a dragon in the hit Bethesda Softworks game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is completely unknown. All that is known is that it has happened, and that it’s here now for the world to see.

Beyond that it’s difficult to find the words to describe just how strange this video really is. It’s up to you and only you to decide whether your curiosity is too great to ignore or not.

Check out the “Macho Man” as a dragon in Skyrim below now.

Modern Warfare Cocktail

Video games? Booze?! Go on, I’m listening…I’m listening.

2011 saw some incredible video games released (mostly in that small chunk of fall when bunches of them were raining down on us), but what can make a great video game even better? Why, an adult beverage concocted in the name of these very same games, of course.

The Guardian’s Games Blog reached out to James Dance, owner of the video game bar called Loading and master of the mixological arts, to create some cocktails for six of 2011’s top video game titles: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, L.A. Noire, Portal 2, and Batman: Arkham City.

Continue on below to check out the recipes for each of these wild creations, as well as images of what they should look like!

Skyrim Banner

We’ve all seen them before: videos of people who synchronized their Christmas lights and decorations to blink to the beat of their favorite songs. The most popular music to do this with is of course Trans-Siberian Orchestra, but some have stepped a little bit outside the holiday box to other types of music.

Which brings us to my new favorite Christmas lights presentation, set to the main theme of Bethesda Softworks’ The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Video: Even The Fine Civilians Of ‘Skyrim’ Can’t Resist A Party Rock Anthem

Skyrim Party Rock Anthem

Ohhh, you rascally modders and your sorcery. I shall never understand how you do it.

Someone decided to take the simple people of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and turn them all into the next contestants of So You Think You Can Dance while LMFAO‘s “Party Rock Anthem” blares out in the background. The results, suffice it to say, are rather hilarious.

Even if you’re not into the song (which I am not), there’s something about seeing a guard throwing down his best dance moves on a crosswalk as you ride by on the way to your execution that’s just fantastic.

You can check out the video below now!
