| Chris Evans and Jared Leto In Talks For ‘The Girl On The Train’
The cast of Tate Taylor‘s adaptation of Paula Hawkins‘ The Girl on the Train is shaping up nicely. Having already cast Rebecca Ferguson and Emily Blunt as their female leads. In the movie Blunt will play a divorced woman who observes and fantasizes about what appears to be the perfect couple each day on her train commute, when one day she sees something that changes everything. Haley Bennett also stars. Now the film is looking to cast their male leads. According to a new report Chris Evans and Jared Leto are both in talks to star in the film. More on this story below.

| TV Series Based On Stephen King’s ‘The Mist’ Being Developed
A new TV series is being developed based on Stephen King‘s 1980 short story The Mist, which was adapted into a movie directed by Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, The Walking Dead) in 2007. The series is being developed by The Weinstein Company’s Dimension Television, with Danish writer Christian Torpe, who created and writes the series Rita and also wrote for shows Store drømme and Park Road, as well as the movie Stille hjerte.

| Kenneth Branagh To Direct ‘Artemis Fowl’ Adaptation For Disney
Disney is getting ready to try to bring author Eoin Colfer‘s book series Artemis Fowl to life once again in a live-action adaptation. The studio teamed up with The Weinstein Company back in 2013 for the project, but making the movie happen has proven difficult. The Weinsteins first acquired the rights to adapt, when they were Miramax, around when the first book came out back in 2001 before Disney bought the company and they went on to found TWC. Now comes word that they’ve brought in Thor and Cinderella director Kenneth Branagh to develop and direct the movie. It’s also being reported that Irish playwright Conor McPherson is in talks to pen a new screenplay for the movie.

| ‘The Hateful Eight’ Posters: Seven Cold Characters
Following the release of the first trailer, The Weinstein Company has released seven new character posters for Quentin Tarantino‘s The Hateful Eight. The film is Tarantino’s eighth directorial effort, takes us back to a few years after the Civil War (no not the Captain America movie), and sees a bounty hunter John “The Hangman” Ruth (Kurt Russell) and his fugitive Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh), forced to hunked down with six strangers when a blizzard hits Wyoming. | ‘The Hateful Eight’ Image Sees Kurt Russell Sporting An Icy Stache
Studio turn-out over at San Diego Comic-Con may be small this year, but this gives other films an opportunity to shine. Aside from our excitement for WB’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice panel, as well as Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part II, there’s Quentin Tarantino‘s The Hateful Eight. In anticipation of the film’s panel, EW has unveiled a brand new image from the film, which features Kurt Russell and Samuel L. Jackson traveling by stagecoach through what appears to be a nasty snowstorm. Tarantino also shares some info on what serves as an inspiration for the film. More on this below.
