I am always down for a giant monster movie. Even when it’s an incredibly strange giant monster movie.

We first heard about Colossal starring Anne Hathaway back in 2015, when it was described as Godzilla and Transformers meets one of Charlie Kaufman and Spike Jonze’s collaborations, Adaptation and Being John Malkovich.

Now the first teaser trailer for Colossal has been released, and it looks to live up to those comparisons. In it a monster is wreaking havoc on Seoul, South Korea, but as it turns out, that monster is somehow being controlled by Hathaway’s character.
