| Official ‘Toy Story 3’ Teaser Trailer Is Here! |
 |

Every Summer, Pixar releases their latest and greatest movie, which always seems to be be even more loved than the last. Along with these movies, we usually get just a little teeny weeny look at what next Summer has in store for us in the form of a teaser trailer. This year was a special year though, because we knew that in 2010, Toy Story 3 would finally greet us…a decade after we last saw our favorite animated toys. Unfortunately, we quickly learned that Disney’s newest return to hand-drawn animation, The Princess and the Frog, would actually be the one teased in front of this year’s Up, and that Toy Story 3‘s teaser would show in front of the new 3-D double-feature re-release of Toy Story & Toy Story 2 this October. Thankfully, this did not last long! In a joyous turn-of-events, Disney/Pixar chose not to make everyone wait that long, and hook the teaser to Up after all, and now, it is here to watch as many times as you want. The trailer doesn’t show anything regarding the actual movie or where the story will be going; it’s basically just a delightful re-introduction to all of our favorite characters who are busy constructing the new title. It’s funny, cute, completely simple, and absolutely perfect until we get our hands on a full trailer. Click on over to watch the brief teaser here. You can also head over to Apple for the HD version, which is by far the best quality peek.

| ‘Up’ Shows Us The Newest Toy Being Introduced In ‘Toy Story 3’! |
 |

MTV spoke to Pete Docter, director of Up and one of the main men at Pixar Studios, and he decided to share a sweet little morsel for fans of the studios’ films as well as fans of Easter Eggs. Docter admitted that the newest member of our favorite group of toys to be featured in next summer’s Toy Story 3 will have a brief cameo in Up, which will be released on May 29, 2009. We all know that Disney/Pixar movies just love their Easter Egg surprises, whether it be a tiny appearance by the insects of A Bug’s Life in Toy Story 2, various toy versions of characters being played with, such as a Nemo toy shown in Monsters Inc. before Finding Nemo was anywhere near release, and any of the many others we’ve seen. The difference here is that the Easter Egg is usually revealed later, after the character has become hugely popular in its own film, not before we know who they are. To go one better, Up producer Jonas Rivera explained where exactly the new toy can be found. Well, if you look very closely [you’ll see it]. I won’t tell you who it is, but I’ll tell you where it is. There’s a shot where a little girl is in her room and the house goes by. She’s playing with her toys. She’s playing with her little plane. She gets up, and she looks [out the window] – under her bed is one of the new stars of “˜Toy Story 3′. You have to look close. It’s not [Ken], it’s someone new. Click over to the other side to watch the trailer and look for yourself.

| New 3-D ‘Toy Story,’ ‘Toy Story 2’ Re-Release Information |
 |

Disney has shared some new information on the upcoming 3-D re-release of two of the most important movies in the evolution of computer animated movies — Toy Story and Toy Story 2. On October 2, 2009 for a limited time, you will have the opportunity to run out to theaters and see the cherished pair of movies together in double-feature fashion. The re-release is for everyone to experience the two movies for the first time with their new 3-D makeover — a makeover that many older animated movies are getting, including Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Another reason this is being done, is to get folks more excited than they already are (which is tough to do) for the highly-anticipated June 18, 2010 3-D return of Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the gang in Toy Story 3. The first teaser trailer for Toy Story 3 is expected to be shown at the double feature event in October as well (instead of the usual Summer before tradition), in case you needed another reason to go. The third installment is directed by Lee Unkrich, who was a co-director on the first two films.

| Disney Meeting Reveals Johnny Depp As Mad Hatter & Peek At ‘Toy Story 3’!
At their annual meeting, The Disney Company showed a little teaser montage of things to come in order to wow the shareholders. While none of us regular folk are allowed to see the footage, word spread quickly of what was shown. First, in what’s being described as a “blink-and-you-miss-it” moment — an image of Johnny Depp as the much-talked about Mad Hatter in Tim Burton‘s highly-anticipated live-action/CGI re-imagining of Alice in Wonderland. While only seen for just a moment, word is that the “oohs and ahhs” filled the room. The image being described as “Victorian top hat, crimped hair that sticks straight out, and swirl of brightly colored make-up on his eyes, cheeks and lips that resembled the blur of a pinwheel blowing in the breeze.” This description has the Internet buzzing that the leaked image (seen above; click for large) of Depp as the Mad Hatter was actually legit and not some hoax.
