| Epic Handshake: The Meeting Of President Obama & Michael Bay |
 |
What happens when the most powerful man on the planet in President of the United States, Barack Obama, meets the most “explosive” director in cinematic history, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen director Michael Bay? Does the universe implode? Does God shoot off some fireworks synchronized to an Aerosmith soundtrack to set the mood? Maybe we just get an innocent and amusing little story and quote.
While at a press conference recently, Bay was asked about why he chose to use President Obama’s name in his Transformers sequel instead of a fictional Presidential figure. Bay went on to tell the story of his meeting Obama in an airport in Vegas right after the start of his Presidential campaign. The entertaining part of the story comes when Obama found out Bay was a director and which movies he had made, he humorously corrected him by saying “So you’re a big-ass director,” to which Bay surely takes pride in. Obviously this is more just a fun little tid-bit and not that important. But while the story is entertaining, the original question is a bit odd. Anyone who has seen the original Transformers knows that the President in that movie is pretty obvious, so it shouldn’t be all that shocking for Bay to name Barack Obama as the President in the sequel. Maybe the questioner was aware of the story and wanted Michael Bay to tell it, who knows. Click over to see the brief video of the question and answer.

| ‘Transformers’ Takes Over The Luxor In Las Vegas Transformers has taken over the Luxor on the Las Vegas strip.
A huge wrap of Transformers is currently covering an entire side of the Vegas casino hotel, which looks like the film’s main bot Optimus Prime is bursting out of the 500-feet-high pyramid-shaped building. The Optimus Prime image is over 100,000 square feet. Click the image here at right for the larger, full version of the Luxor’s Transformers takeover. | New ‘Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen’ Images Released |
 |

A new set of images from Michael Bay‘s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen have been released by Paramount Pictures. Most notably, you get a look at Devastator from a good distance away so you can feel the scale, and a shot of Optimus Prime with some ultra-heated God of War-like blades, which means he just ruined a few robots’ days. The movie has been preparing for its massive charge, with tickets now officially on sale. At the moment, it is looking like a strong probability that this will be the King of Summer…especially after the less-than-impressive splash that Terminator Salvation made. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen returns us to Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and his discovery of the ancient origins of the Transformers. Because of this discovery, the Decepticons go all-out in an attempt to capture him while Optimus Prime joins forces with the military to fight and save all humans. The movie also stars Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson, and Rainn Wilson. Click over to the other side to check out the images. Click for big and beautiful.

| MTV Movie Awards Video Round-Up: ‘Harry Potter,’ ‘New Moon,’ ‘Transformers 2’ |
 |
I’m just going to come right out and say it: The MTV Movie Awards are not quite what they used to be. Not only does everyone know the winners, allowing most of the losers to not even bother showing up; those who do win always end up being highly undeserving of the award thanks to the scary-large amount of little kids out there who rock the vote. In the few minutes that I did watch, here’s what I saw: Andy Samberg ripping off Billy Crystal’s Oscar bit; Ashley Tisdale winning “Breakout Female Performer of the Year” for High School Musical 3; Hayden Panettiere swearing a lot to show that she’s all grown up now; and Miley Cyrus winning for Best Song over A.R. Rahman‘s “Jai Ho” from Slumdog Millionaire, and Bruce Springsteen‘s song “The Wrestler” from The Wrestler. These few brief moments were so painful to watch, it was literally all my little heart could take, bless it so. I’ve recorded the ceremony, so I can watch the rest later with the ability to fast forward through anything so bad that it has me tempted to inflict self-harm as a valid alternative.
While the show may be unbearable to most, they do at least show a handful of new clips and trailers from some of the year’s biggest upcoming movies, and those, my friends, I am nothing but happy to share with you here! Click over to the other side for all the MTV Movie preview action you can handle.

| New ‘Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen’ Trailer – Devastator Included! |
 |

A brand new trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has been released through Yahoo! Movies for your viewing pleasure. The trailer basically takes the ShoWest footage that had a short run on the Internet not too long ago, and chops it down and turns it into a real trailer. The major score is the fact that not only did they include the jaw-dropping Devastator in the trailer, but they added even more of him than the ShoWest footage had! Also worth note is the inclusion of Megatron. We all knew he was going to be in the damn movie, but until now, his presence was denied left and right; he wasn’t even listed on that Transformer round-up that was put out (Read: The List: What “˜Bots You’ll See In “˜Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen’) Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is directed by Michael Bay and stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox along with other returning cast such as Josh Duhamel, John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson. Some new faces show up, too, like Rainn Wilson for one. Oh, and did anyone know that Darius McCrary — AKA Eddie Winslow from Family Matters — is the voice of Jazz? That’s fantastic. Continue on to view the new trailer.
