Extended ‘Uncharted 4’ Driving Gameplay Demo Released

During the madness of E3 2015 a new gameplay demo for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was shared, revealing a section of the game in which protagonist Nathan Drake and Sully find themselves in a shootout and then a high-speed chase after his brother Sam, with you the player is doing the driving.
The 7-minute demo ended with a bit of a cliffhanger as Drake found himself in a pretty rough situation and things did not look all that great for him. Thankfully an extended version of this demo has now been released that features a similar but slightly different version of the E3 gameplay demo that keeps right on going for another seven minutes or so, for a grand total 15-minute demo that reveals how the chase after his brother ends and adds another little teaser to the mix.
You can watch the extended Uncharted 4 E3 gameplay demo below.

Remasted ‘Uncharted’ Trilogy Set For PS4 Release
|
 |

It’s safe to assume that most of the truly great games and game series from the last generation of video game consoles will eventually be polished up and re-released on the newer current generation of consoles. Some already have; plenty more are still to come. One of the best game series of the last generation was The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog’s archeological action-adventure games, Uncharted. Basically they’re the best Indiana Jones games we may ever get to play…while also having absolutely nothing to do with Indiana Jones.
The fourth game in the series, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, is on its way to PS4 next year, and will likely be making an appearance at the upcoming E3 convention. But today Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that the previous three games in the series from last generation, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, have all been remastered and will be re-released this fall on PS4 as Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. You can read more below and watch the announcement video.

‘Uncharted 4’ Gets Delayed To 2016

Naughty Dog officially announced Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End at E3 2014 with an announcement trailer, which was then followed by a 15-minute gameplay demo shown at the PlayStation Experience this past December.
A firm release date for the game was never locked in, but at the time of those two events the plan was to release the game at some point in 2015, likely during the video game season in the fall. Now Naughty Dog has announced that Uncharted 4 has been pushed back to early 2016 to give them more time to polish the game.
You can read their full statement below.

Get Your First Look At Gameplay Footage From ‘Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception’
|
 |

Just a few days ago, the announcement trailer for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception made its debut at the Spike TV Video Game Awards. The trailer was mostly cinematic, but did offer some very brief gameplay teases toward the end.
Thankfully for we the fans, Naughty Dog, the game studio behind the immensely popular series that includes Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, isn’t waiting around patiently to show more of their new game off. Co-presidents Evan Wells and Christophe Balestra were guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon recently, and they brought with them some real, solid gameplay footage to let the host try out.
We’ll still have to wait a little longer to really see how the game will look overall due to the fact that this gameplay is set inside a burning building, but it’s an intense burning building sequence and promises that the game will keep up the brilliance of the previous two installments.

One of the most exciting things to receive as a gift on Christmas is video games. For me personally, nothing beats the morning I was given the Sega Genesis system I never thought I would possibly get, and playing Sonic’s elusive blue hide right into the ground. And even though that childlike joy will never be experienced again for me, and video game systems are a whole lot different and more expensive these days, it’s still exciting to open up a new video game you haven’t played yet.
To try and help some of you create this joy for your video game playing loved ones, we wanted to create a list of 2009’s best and most-desired game titles. These are the games that most people are going to want if they don’t have them yet, and these are the games that have made the most impact. Obviously you’ll want to make sure they don’t have specific titles in mind, but for the most part, this is where to start reading up on and shopping for video game gift ideas.
Click on over to the other side to check out our very own Holiday Gift Guide: Video Game Edition ’09 for selections to play on Nintendo Wii , PlayStation 3 , and Xbox 360 game consoles, as well as on your PC.

Kyle Ward Snags Another Gig; Tapped To Write ‘Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune’ Adaptation
|
 |

Kyle Ward, who wrote the script for the Kane & Lynch movie, and was just reported to be writing the sequel to Hitman, has now been given a third video game movie writing job: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.
The popular Playstation 3 game from Sony Computer Entertainment is being developed into a movie by Columbia Pictures, with Marvel Studios founder Avi Arad and his brother Ari Arad‘s Arad Productions producing the movie. Also producing will be Charles Roven and Alex Gartner of Atlas Entertainment.
Drake’s Fortune tells the story of Nathan Drake, an adventurer and descendant of actual explorer Sir Francis Drake, who discovers a diary by his late ancestor that leads the way to the fabled city of gold: El Dorado. As usual, when trying to discover some of the universe’s greatest treasures, things don’t go so well; between rival seekers of the gold city and mutated descendants of Spaniards and Nazis trying to stop him, Nathan Drake is obviously in for a challenge and a kick-ass adventure.
