
Lynn Redgrave, renowned actress and performer of the stage and screens big and small, has died at the age of 67. The cause of death was breast cancer, which she admirably battled for many years before finally succumbing to the disease.
Redgrave was always looked at in comparison to her sister, Vanessa Redgrave, but her overall body of work shows that she can easily be talked about as one of the truly incredible and memorable performers of our time.
Aside from a great career performing in many popular Broadway stage productions, she appeared in many acclaimed films and received much praise and numerous awards and nominations for her work. Her two best roles came in 1966’s Georgy Girl and in 1998’s Gods and Monsters, both of which brought her Academy Award nominations and Golden Globe wins.
