Walking Dead 515

SPOILERS for The Walking Dead Episode 515 “Try.”

AMC’s The Walking Dead Episode 515 “Try” aired last night and was centered on several levels of events going on at the Alexandria Safe Zone: the mourning of those lost; the investigation into what happened on the supply run; the alleged domestic abuse with Pete and Jessie; Rick’s increasing insistence that they don’t live by the old rules; Daryl and Aaron’s disturbing findings while out recruiting; and Carl and Enid’s run through the woods. This was the final episode before next week’s 90-minute Season 5 finale and it set things up well for the end of the season.

The network has released the “most talked about scene” from the episode, which is centered on the confrontation between Rick and Peter. AMC has also released two behind-the-scenes featurettes — one is a 3-minute “Making of” featurette on the fight, while the other is a 5-minute “Inside Look” where the two factions of the Alexandria Safe Zone are examined.

Warning – Spoilers for The Walking Dead Episode 515 “Try.”

Tonight’s Episode 515 “Try” of AMC’s The Walking Dead, the residents — old and new — of the Alexandria Safe Zone are coping with the loss of those who perished in the last episode. But, in the zombie apocalypse, there’s no time to grieve. Throw on some Nine Inch Nails and have a little cry, but then it’s back to business.

And the business of the day is what exactly happened out there on that supply run that ended so disastrously? It’s up to Deanna (Tovah Feldshuh) to decide. So far, the leader of the Safe Zone has come across as an intelligent, fair, and intuitive person who seems to see through all the lies and deceit. She’s exactly who you’d want to be the final word in the community. But, is she too good to be true? If so, will she last? Let’s hope.

The Walking Dead Episode 514 Michonne (Danai Gurira) AMC

Last night’s Episode 514 “Spend” of AMC’s The Walking Dead was unsettling, to say the least. A lot happened in this episode and it was all pretty quick. No sitting around for nearly the entire hour-long episode waiting for something to make your jaw drop. Instead, “Spend” gave us a lot to see and plenty to mourn. Slowly but surely, the secrets behind the Alexandria Safe Zone are being revealed, though, so far, it seems that perhaps we’re dealing with cowards and bullies, as opposed to the nefarious types like the Terminus people and The Governor.

AMC has released the first sneak peek of the next episode, Episode 515 “Try,” which returns us to Michonne (Danai Gurira), who was notably absence from Episode 514. In the scene, she’s lying on her beautiful new bed, but you can tell she can’t get comfortable. What does comfortable even mean in this post-apocalyptic world? Someone with her survival instinct knows that her group needed a new home, but that doesn’t mean forgetting all that’s happened to them before. At the end, Rosita (Christian Serratos) comes in with some alarming news.

Watch the sneak peek video here below, along with a teaser promo and a scene from the episode with Carl.

The Walking Dead Episode 514 Michael Cudlitz as Abraham

SPOILERS for The Walking Dead Episode 514 “Spend.”

AMC’s The Walking Dead Episode 514 “Spend” aired last night and was undoubtedly one of the most disturbing episodes of this fifth season, with more than one death and one that was definitely heartbreaking and senseless, thanks to the cowards of the Alexandria Safe Zone – obviously, “safe” is meant to be taken lightly. There have been episodes of this season where nothing happens until the last 3 minutes; “Spend” was NOT one of those. This one was packed from start to finish and was definitely up there with one of the best of the season, even if it was heart-wrenching at times.

The network has released the “most talked about scene” from the episode, which in actually I would think was the second most talked about scene, but it centered on the walker attack on Abraham and the workers at the construction site. AMC has also released two behind-the-scenes featurettes — one is a 3-minute “Making of” featurette on how the sequence with the revolving glass door (the real most talked about scene) was created, while the other is a 3-minute “Inside Look” at the related supply run. This week’s, there’s also a bonus video about Daryl’s new motorcycle.

Warning – Spoilers for The Walking Dead Episode 514 “Spend.”

Tonight’s Episode 514 “Spend” of AMC’s The Walking Dead was one of the most brutal, emotionally draining episodes of the season. We’ve seen Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his group face a lot of hardships in the past; they’ve lost lots of people to both Walker attacks and deadly human foes. And their struggles to find a new home were agonizing. Now, they’re supposed to be safe in their idyllic new neighborhood in the self-sustaining Alexandria Safe Zone, with the seemingly understanding and logical Deanna Monroe (Tovah Feldshuh), a former Ohio congresswoman, leading what will be their new government.

While we’ve had to say good-bye to people before, what went on in this episode was just so disturbing on so many levels — on a gruesome one and an emotional one. The reason why Rick’s group has gotten as far as they have under the most dire circumstances is NOT because they’ve maintained a kill or be killed attitude; instead, they protect each other, work together, and consistently do the right thing whenever possible. They are heroes. Even the constantly self-professed coward, Eugene (Josh McDermitt), finds his inner strength and steps up when he has to.
