Legendary Pictures has released a new TV spot for Warcraft, the movie set in the same universe as the popular online multiplayer game World of Warcraft. The movie is directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code), and stars Travis Fimmel (Vikings), Paula Patton (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol), Ben Foster (Lone Survivor), Dominic Cooper (The Devil’s Double), Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Ben Schnetzer (Pride), Rob Kazinsky (Pacific Rim), Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption), Daniel Wu (Into the Badlands), and Ruth Negga (Preacher). Yesterday, Universal Studios and Legendary Pictures unveiled the poster for Warcraft, and announced that the trailer for the movie would be released this Friday. Apparently, Friday isn’t coming soon enough, because judging by fan reaction, it looks like people want to see more now! Therefore, the studios have released today a quick teaser video for the upcoming trailer. Watch 15-second teaser video here below.

| Trailer For ‘Warcraft’ Movie Coming Friday; New Poster Revealed
This Friday, we will finally see some footage from the epic new movie Warcraft based on Blizzard Entertainment’s game series of the same name when the trailer drops. In the meantime, Universal and Legendary have released a new poster for the film. Check it out here below. While the movie itself won’t be out until June 2016, there is a lot of anticipation as a Warcraft game/movie crossover has been in the works for a very long time. Fans have been anxious for months now to see how ILM and director Duncan Jones will bring the rich fantasy world to life. This despite Universal Studios reportedly being nervous about the film after a mediocre response at SDCC 2015. With the trailer, we can finally see the Horde axes crushing down some Alliance shields (hopefully). Perhaps then the Universal won’t be as nervous.

| Universal Pictures Unhappy With Legendary’s ‘Warcraft’
Though Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures has a five-year deal, the recent developments now being reported are starting to look like there is a huge strain between the two. First Universal passed on Kong: Skull Island, allowing Legendary to move the film, budgeted at $125 million, to Warner Bros., which now allows them to build a shared universe opening the door for a Godzilla vs. King Kong film. Then reports of Pacific Rim 2 being put on hold indefinitely broke, and it’s unclear if the studio wants to move forward with the sequel. But it isn’t just these movies that are causing a strain between Universal and Legendary. Studio politics and a few films performing below box office expectations are contributing to some concerns over films like Warcraft. More on this story below.
