X-Men Header

Another TV show based on hit comic book characters could be on the way, with news that Fox is working on a small screen take on Marvel’s X-Men.

The network has 24 producers Evan Katz and Manny Coto on board, and they’ve set Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne to write the potential live-action series. McKay and Payne previously worked on the screenplay for Star Trek 3 before Simon Pegg and Doug Jung recently took over scriptwriting duties.

There is, however, a bit of a speedbump to overcome if X-Men the TV show is to become a reality.

All X-Men Ever Header

Can you name every X-Men character ever introduced? Marvel’s superhero group of mutant outcasts was first published by the comic book giant in 1963. The main X-Men team would often be led by Professor Xavier, with many incarnations of the team — as well as a copious amount of characters — being introduced over the books’ 50 plus year run.

With such a large multitude of heroes gracing the pages for half a century, it would be understandable to lose track of every mutant who’d ever donned an X-Men costume. Well, IGN has put together an impressive infographic timeline that claims to have a definitive list. Check out the video “Every X-Man Ever” below and let us know if others should be added to the list!

X-Men

Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, former friends turned bitter enemies on screen but the best of friends in the world in real life, will not be reprising their respective roles of Professor Charles Xavier and Erik “Magneto” Lehnsherr in X-Men: Apocalypse, the next mega-budget installment in 20th Century Fox’s blockbuster franchise based on the popular Marvel Comics characters.

In a recent interview on Larry King Now, Stewart, who has played the part of Professor X in every X-movie except for 2011’s X-Men: First Class (he made brief appearances in both of the solo Wolverine features), was asked the inevitable question of whether there would be a place for him in Apocalypse. His response is bound to break the hearts of more than a few longtime fans of the series:
