| Fox Developing Potential ‘X-Men’ Live-Action TV Show
Another TV show based on hit comic book characters could be on the way, with news that Fox is working on a small screen take on Marvel’s X-Men. The network has 24 producers Evan Katz and Manny Coto on board, and they’ve set Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne to write the potential live-action series. McKay and Payne previously worked on the screenplay for Star Trek 3 before Simon Pegg and Doug Jung recently took over scriptwriting duties. There is, however, a bit of a speedbump to overcome if X-Men the TV show is to become a reality.

| ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’: ‘Game Of Thrones’ Star To Play Young Jean Grey; Young Cyclops, Storm Also Cast
Director Bryan Singer has announced a trio of young stars for the next movie in the X-Men series, titled X-Men: Apocalypse. Singer has announced that Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark on GoT) has joined the cast as a young Jean Grey (played by Famke Janssen in previous movies). Also cast is Tye Sheridan (The Tree of Life, Mud), who will play Cyclops (previously played by James Marsden), and Alexandra Shipp (Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, House of Anubis), who will play Storm (previously played by Halle Berry).

Can you name every X-Men character ever introduced? Marvel’s superhero group of mutant outcasts was first published by the comic book giant in 1963. The main X-Men team would often be led by Professor Xavier, with many incarnations of the team — as well as a copious amount of characters — being introduced over the books’ 50 plus year run. With such a large multitude of heroes gracing the pages for half a century, it would be understandable to lose track of every mutant who’d ever donned an X-Men costume. | Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen Won’t Return For ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’
Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, former friends turned bitter enemies on screen but the best of friends in the world in real life, will not be reprising their respective roles of Professor Charles Xavier and Erik “Magneto” Lehnsherr in X-Men: Apocalypse, the next mega-budget installment in 20th Century Fox’s blockbuster franchise based on the popular Marvel Comics characters. In a recent interview on Larry King Now, Stewart, who has played the part of Professor X in every X-movie except for 2011’s X-Men: First Class (he made brief appearances in both of the solo Wolverine features), was asked the inevitable question of whether there would be a place for him in Apocalypse. His response is bound to break the hearts of more than a few longtime fans of the series:
