| ‘Aquaman’: Yahya Abdul-Mateen Cast As Black Manta; Nicole Kidman In Talks
While Warner Bros. and DC try to figure out how to lock down a director for The Batman, James Wan is moving ahead with Aquaman. An image of a table read with Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, and Patrick Wilson showed things were progressing very nicely. Now it looks like the cast will grow. A new report says The Get Down‘s Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has signed on the play Black Manta, while Nicole Kidman is in talks to play Aquaman’s mother. More on both of these stories below.

| ‘Baywatch’ Trailer: Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron Save Lives One Boobs and Balls Joke At A Time
The fact that Seth Gordon is behind the lens for Baywatch pretty much tells us that the film reboot will go for a more comedic slant than its cheesy drama TV counterpart. And the first trailer for the film pretty much proves that. Paramount has released the first trailer for Baywatch, starring Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Priyanka Chopra, Jon Bass, Rob Huebel, and Hannibal Buress. Netflix has released trailers for a pair of their upcoming series, titled The Crown and The Get Down. The Crown is created by Peter Morgan, who has previously worked on the scripts for The Queen, The Last King of Scotland, The Other Boleyn Girl, Frost/Nixon, The Damned United, Rush, and others. It’s a biographical story about the British royal family. The Get Down is created by Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge!, Australia, and The Great Gatsby director Baz Luhrmann and Shawn Ryan, who’s credited as creator/showrunner or producer on series like The Shield, Last Resort, The Unit, Lie to Me, and Terriers.
