If you’re excited to explore the ultimate Elder Scrolls open world map in The Elder Scrolls Online, that excitement is about to be elevated. Because the game isn’t just about exploring a massive map that includes previous game locations visited in Morrowind, Oblivion, and most recently, Skyrim. It also includes a story and plenty of quests, which of course means voice actors are necessary.

Bethesda Softworks has announced the official voice cast for The Elder Scrolls Online, which is being developed by ZeniMax Online Studios, and it is an impressive line up. You can see who’s on board, who they’re voicing, and watch a cool video of some of the actors talking about and recording lines for the game below.

Subscription fees are nothing new to MMO gamers. But times are changing, and more and more people are losing interest in having to constantly invest money into the games that they play. That’s not stopping the folks over at ZeniMax Online Studios, however, who have announced that they will have a monthly fee to play The Elder Scrolls Online.

Once you purchase the game, which will likely cost the usual $60 or so, you’ll have 30 days to play as much as you like. After that you’ll pay a $14.99/€12.99/£8.99 fee per month to continue playing.

I’ve never had any interest in MMOs. None whatsoever. Not until The Elder Scrolls Online was announced, of course.

But in order to really win my undivided attention, so much would rely on the first look at actual Elder Scrolls Online gameplay and the world they’ve built. That day has now arrived…partially. A video showing a bunch of impressive shots of many different environments from the game were shown at E3, joined by plenty of juicy details about what you can expect. And while I’m still personally skeptical that the game can be as amazing as it sounds like it could be, the environments really do look great and there’s hope that the gameplay will be equally impressive. Fans of The Elder Scrolls and MMOs alike will surely be keeping their eyes on this one.

After being rumored for quite a while, it’s been officially announced by Bethesda Softworks that a massively multiplayer online game based in the world of their hit video game franchise, The Elder Scrolls, is on the way.

The game, titled The Elder Scrolls Online, is being developed by ZeniMax Online Studios and led by game director Matt Firor, who has been involved in developing online games for over twenty years now.
