For those who might not know, G.I. Joe Resolute, a new animated film written by comics scribe Warren Ellis premiers tonight 4/25 on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim block at 12:00 am EST. This will be the first time you can see the movie on TV, although the episodes have been on Adult Swims website and YouTube for the last week.

This is of course a big year for G.I. Joe, what with it being the 25 anniversary. Oh and a feature film coming out later this year. Resolute is a more mature take on the property, and having seen the first few parts of it, I can say that it lives up to the mature label.

I’m waiting till tonight to watch all of it, and since G.I. Joe was a big part of my childhood, it’s easy to say I’m a little excited. From everything I’ve heard from people who have watched it, it will live up to my expectations.
