DC are setting their sights on an additional television show for one of their characters, but one you might not suspect to be a potential candidate for a series: Raven from Teen Titans.
The speculation and discussion online at the moment appears to indicate that Raven is being viewed as a potential replacement for the highly successful Smallville series.
For those unfamiliar, Raven is a character from the Teen Titans team, lead by Robin when he is not bouncing around in the Batcave with Bruce Wayne. Raven is said to be half-human and half-demon, and is always portrayed as enrobed in a hooded purple cloak. She can mentally project her soul away from her body, and has a extrasensory ability to read the minds of others.
CW, in conjunction with Warner Bros. TV and DC Entertainment, has selected Diego Gutierrez to be executive producer and writer on Raven. It’s still early days yet, but with DC looking at getting David E. Kelley’s Wonder Woman TV series going forward, it could well be that DC are on another winner with the Raven concept.

I love the Teen Titans animated series, so I will give Raven a shot.
I hope the show won’t wait too long to have some cameos from other DC heroes like Smallville did.
