There’s not a whole lot that needs to be explained here and not many details known as to how all of this came together, but it’s really entertaining to watch.
Basically, a group of folks decided to go all-out in recreating one of the opening scenes from Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope. They even went as far as picking up a sweet set of replica costumes to really sell the show. But the real catch is that they performed the short scene on the subway — with new characters getting on at consecutive stops — surrounded by unsuspecting and eventually entertained people.

For me, the best part has to be at the very beginning when Princess Leia is reading Galactic Rebellion for Dummies and the gentleman next to her is wholly amused by this. Everyone trying to snap pictures at the end is also pretty cool as well.
Stop calling Star Wars “Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope” because that was never what it was meant to be and isn’t what it should be. It is just Star Wars.
Improv Everywhere is fucking amazing group… I wish I lived in NY so I could be a part of this group. Their real life Ghostbusters was hilarious, and their skits always put a huge smile on a lot of people’s faces.
If you haven’t seen any of their other material, browse their youtube channel. It’s worth a look.
