Netflix subscribers who have been bored with the selection of streaming media available might take notice of some recent additions to their library, namely Battlestar Galactica.
But for anyone who hasn’t seen the show and has been wanting to start, don’t clear your DVD queue just yet. The first disc of the season 1 set is only available to rent as a DVD for some strange reason. This disc contains the 2-part miniseries that was created prior to being given a green light for a full season. And apparently it counts differently, except for that it’s listed as the official first two episodes of the show now.
The addition of the BSG episodes are part of a deal Netflix struck with NBC to add older content to its library, which also includes over 100 episodes of Saturday Night Live, Eureka, and much more.
Not enough for you still? Well, the same NBC deal is reported to allow Netflix to also stream episodes of TV shows that aren’t currently on the air soon after being broadcast on the networks.

I have weekend plans now, and they involve numbing my asscheeks in front on my computer viewing this series.
