Marvel has released a new interactive widget for Thor called Thor: Interactive Guide to the Universe of Thor, which contains new images and footage from the upcoming film.
Browse through the interactive guide here below to get a look at new and existing footage from the film, as well as images, artwork, character bios, and location descriptions from the universe of Thor.
As you browse through the sections, you’ll unlock new content. Once you’ve unlocked 100 percent of the content, there’s a nifty “Easter egg” for you to download.
Thor, which stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, along with Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Kat Dennings, Stellan Skarsgård, Ray Stevenson, Clark Gregg, and Rene Russo, is directed by Kenneth Branagh and will hit theaters on May 6, 2011.
I had a bit of fun unlocking all the content, and this film is one I’m really looking forward to (I can’t believe it comes out in less than a month!). But as I watched all the footage together like this, I realized that Thor is the butt of a lot of jokes. Yes, they were funny and I got a kick out of it, but I can’t help but think that type of humor doesn’t belong in a Thor movie released in 2011, but better suited for 1985. Granted, it’s only a few minutes’ worth of scenes and there’s a lot more movie to be viewed, but I just thought it was weird to go that route when marketing the film.
From the deserts of New Mexico to the furthest reaches of the nine worlds of Yggdrasil, this is your interactive guide to the universe of Thor and the realm of Asgard.
