SYNOPSIS
Hugo tells the story of an orphan boy living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station. With the help of an eccentric girl, he searches for the answer to a mystery linking the father he recently lost, the ill-tempered toy shop owner living below him and a heart shaped lock, seemingly without a key.
Based on Brian Selznick’s award winning and imaginative New York Times bestseller, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, this magical tale is Academy Award-winner Martin Scorsese’s first film shot in 3D.

Saccharine sweet, predictable garbage…at least it doesn’t have Leonardo Dicaprio in it.This is Scorsese trying to be Spielberg and he shouldn’t do that. When was his last good movie ? Casino ? Gangs of New York was ruined by Leonardo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz.Leo is not a horrible actor but he’s horrible at playing a tough guy and Diaz is…well, just a horrible actress.

this is Scorsese branching out…like his other obscure films AFTER HOURS, KUNDUN and BOXCAR BERTHA HUGO has potential and from this trailer we catch the vibe associated with innocence and childhood. This may be the finest film that uses 3D in the most adequate way. Scorsese is a genius, and anything he does he does with his whole heart. This will be up on my top anticipated movies of 2011. Â
