Princess Leia

Carrie Fisher made an appearance this morning on The Today Show, where she showed off her new slim figure.

The 54-year-old actress, who is best known for her portrayal of Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy, is currently a spokeperson for Jenny Craig and has lost 50 lbs. in 9 months on their weight loss program.

While being interviewed on the morning show, Fisher talked about her weight loss, a Princess Leia strain of marijuana, and the infamous “Slave Leia” metal bikini. Of the popular garb she wore in 1983’s Return Of The Jedi, Fisher told Today Show‘s Ann Curry, “I wanna get back in the metal bikini…”

You can watch the video of Fisher’s appearance here below. The Princess Leia talk begins at around the 4-minute mark.

I’ve always been a big fan of Fisher and it’s great to see her slimming down and looking so healthy now. If she’s able to pull it off, I’d love to one day see her don the metal bikini once more!

  1. When I first read that, I read it as, her weight watchers diet was a marijuana strain of princess leia.
