The Torchwood TARDISblend 33: The Middle Men and Immortal Sins

Torchwood: Miracle Day continues, as the team work their way out of the Overflow Camps to get word out to the world of the horrific consequences of becoming a “Category One Patient”. Meanwhile, Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) continues his investigation into those behind Miracle Day. Later, events transpire that pit Jack against Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles), while we discover more secrets behind the Miracle as Jack remembers dangerous choices from his past.
During TARDISblend 33, we review the events of The Middle Men and Immortal Sins, we discuss the surprising appearance of Mr. Winston Ghostbusters himself, Eddie Hudson, and the wonderful exposition scene he shared with John Barrowman.
We also look at Captain Jack’s problems when he tries to emulate the Doctor, as we examine the flashbacks in the recent episodes, and ponder the significance of the Triangle Group making their deal for his blood. Speaking of Captain Jack, we (inevitably) debate his sexuality – is he homosexual, bisexual, or omnisexual – because this IS important of course ;)
Finally we throw in a few Classic Torchwood UK recommendations for new fans to check out, and find out what our listeners recently had to say about the podcasts. All this and more on the latest TARDISblend!
Presented by Greg Davies (cGt2099 from The Social Blend Podcast) and Tom Cheredar (Tched from The Drill Down Podcast) TARDISblend is a podcast that takes a look at the ongoing adventures in the Doctor Who Universe – as Matt Smith makes his journey as the Eleventh Doctor!
The changing of the pronouns was indicative of closeted self-loathing gay men prior to the 1980s. Jack is attracted to danger, and the relationship with Angelo is dangerous from the outset. The two were always doomed to be star-crossed lovers. That, in my estimation, is the reason that window scene.

The Whoniverse! Its vast, magical, wonderful AND without end.
Yup, none of us will see the final final final episode. It lives on, like a new time religion?
And now it expands into UK/US colaboration. It’s not gonna be without its teething troubles.
Re : Torchwood. Yeah I know what you mean about those alien contact lens! Crap, shoddy goods. You just cant get decent ones these days ;)
UK broadcast = full on “cyber-sex session”. Of that, I would not know, but we got it “all”.
Matinee Idol, Captain Jack’s timeline??? You’re forgetting that timey wimey thang! Silly boys.
Jacks previous. Didn’t he spend time in India? flower petals in soldiers mouths rings a bell?
I MUST add, let us not foget the wonderful, brilliant, Mr Murray Gold and his cool score to this series. This man is a musical genius.
On the Olympic thing. Come on guys, lets get this show on the road.
Homemade bandwagon, nothing else to stand on.
Lets get a voice. I dont go on the chat sites, but you could always rally support in there. Tennant and the torch 2012, there wouldn’t be a dry eye in the house ;)
Until next time……………..TransmatTrev
