There are epic stories, and then there is the story of Moses. With Rosh Hashanah now here, it has been revealed that WB has reached out to Steven Spielberg to helm a new film based on this hugely towering story.
Entitled Gods And Kings, the film will tell the story of Moses, and will feature a script from Michael Green and Stuart Hazeldine.
Reports state that Spielberg hasn’t met with the studio yet, but has read the script, and with Spielberg’s involvement with not only a cavalcade of projects but Dreamworks in general, this is a story that will undoubtedly develop over the next few months.
The film will tell Moses’ life from birth to death, and any and everything in between. Personally, while I’m not a man of faith (neither here nor there, so moving on), this is a story that I find insanely interesting, and is one that could make for a great feature. Toss in Spielberg as a director, and this is about as must see as a film could ever get.
What do you think?
