Well, this came out of nowhere.
According to reports, HBO has signed up to work on a TV series based around the award-winning film, The Kids Are All Right. The show will follow the five characters we met in the original film, and will find its director, Lisa Cholodenko, penning the script for the pilot episode.
Personally, as a huge fan of the original film, I do really think that a series could be quite comfortable within this world. I’m not totally sure that it’s a series that I’ve been clamoring to get, but knowing that Cholodenko will write the script and HBO will be behind the show, do have my hopes up. HBO has been giving us great series after great series, so with a top notch bit of source material, hopefully it can live up to its insane potential, because it’s more than there. With the right care, this thing could be really special.
What do you think?
