In the spirit of Halloween, the team behind the upcoming The Woman In Black released a viral site today to promote the film and terrify you at the very same time.
The movie is about a young lawyer (Daniel Radcliffe) who travels to small town and in doing this, he finds the ghost of a woman who is terrorizing the villagers. And while that might be the case, the point of the viral site seems to be just to make you freak out. It’s a pretty cool one if you’re not experiencing any bugs with the site (I was). From the site you get a photo of your reaction to a scare that happens, and you can share it from the site with Twitter and Facebook, and you can also have a look at the trailer for the movie.
The site can be found at whatdidtheysee.com and, as you can see above, there’s a creepy looking little kid on the homepage. You’re going to need to let the site access your webcam, or else you’re not going to get a photo, so don’t freak out when you’re prompted; instead, freak out when the scare happens. It’s Halloween, after all, why not give yourself a midday fright?
The Woman In Black stars Daniel Radcliffe and is set to be released on February 3, 2012.
