Throughout its history, Lego has always been deeply involved with the most popular pieces of pop culture. Be it their tie-in toys or their line of video games based on various film franchises, they’ve always been one to stay ahead of the game. Now they are heading to Middle Earth.

The company has announced that they will be bringing their brand to the world of Lord Of The Rings with all new figures and play sets, to coincide with the impending release of The Hobbit.

Now, while I am admittedly not a huge fan of this franchise, I am absolutely a massive fan of these toys and the games, so hopefully this will also bring with it a new line of video games to partake in the playing of. I think that these toys are a great way to get kids into these franchises, so here’s to hoping that this will happen here.
