| ‘The LEGO Movie 2’: Title Revealed For New Brick-Building Adventure
The adventures of mild-mannered master builder Emmet (Chris Pratt) will continue in The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. The full title for the sequel was announced over the film’s official Twitter account earlier today, along with a teaser image. And while we may not know a whole lot about the movie itself, we know that it will be released February of next year, which was the time of year that the first movie dropped. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2
Xbox One | PS4 | Nintendo Switch
DEVELOPER: TT Games
PUBLISHER: WB Games
RELEASE DATE: November 14, 2017 I’m not even half-way through, but I can tell you that LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 (developed by UK-based WB subsidiary TT Games) is already loaded with obscure and classic old-school Marvel characters, and that alone, makes it a purchase worth your time and money. Yes, the gameplay is repetitive and virtually unchanged from any other LEGO TT games; the mechanics go back more than a decade, so it might be time to consider an engine overall for future releases. And yes, there are some frustrating glitches, but the real joy of playing Marvel Super Heroes 2 is found in the breadth of characters and environments. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 does an admirable job of meshing the widely-known Marvel movie universe (including the just released Thor: Ragnarok) with the lesser-known comic book Marvel universe “” specifically, the old-school Marvel U. Fanboys of a certain age (that is, old farts like me) are in for some real surprises.

| Play Fair 2017: A Weekend Of Fun & Toys!
If you and your children felt overwhelmed at New York City Comic Con last month, then I recommend saving early November for Play Fair NY. This past weekend Play Fair NY took over the Jacob Javits Center in midtown Manhattan, and gave kids of all ages a reason to be very excited about the upcoming holiday season. Play Fair NY featured interactive toy and game areas, celebrity and character meet and greets, a 13,000 pound vat of slime, a Minecraft VR learning lab, and a chance to see all the toys nominated for 2017 Toy of the Year. The best compliment I can pay Play Fair NY though, is as a parent. Both my 13-year old son and 6-year old daughter did not want to leave and they were actively playing and engaging their minds and imaginations, rather than glued to a screen. More below.
