Listen: ‘The LEGO Movie 2’s “Catchy Song” Will Try To Up “Everything Is Awesome”

It’s almost impossible to top The LEGO Movie‘s great song “Everything Is Awesome.” While it may have lost the chance to win an Academy Award, it definitely left behind a legacy for being a very upbeat, cheery, and unforgettable tune. It wouldn’t be much of a LEGO Movie without that signature song. So they will try to up things in the sequel The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part with a song titled “Catchy Song,” which includes lyrics like “This song’s gonna get stuck inside your head.â€
The full song from the cast and Dillon Francis featuring T-Pain and That Girl Lay Lay has now been shared online along with a brief featurette about the song. Check them out below.

It wasn’t that long ago when The LEGO Movie burst into movie theaters with a million of bricks and an equal amount of laughs. What looked liked a bad idea at first turned out to be interlocking blocks of bubble gum pop and child-like nostalgia. Its success would, of course, give way for sequels and spinoffs, because that’s how successful movies work nowadays. And now we are getting a taste of that with The LEGO Batman Movie.
Sure enough, The LEGO Batman Movie proves that its predecessor was no fluke. It continues the tradition of capturing the child-like imagination of playing with these building blocks to construct a manically energized spinoff full of hilarious Batman references and self-deprecating humor. But it is also a visual bubble gum pop joy that has a heartfelt message and crazy action that can be damn near exhausting.
But at the end of the day, The LEGO Batman Movie is a pure delight that even non-Batman fans will enjoy. Check out the full review below.

‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ Gotham Cribs Featurette Takes A Tour Of Batman’s Attic

We are one week away from the release of The LEGO Batman Movie, the spinoff to The LEGO Movie. Will Arnett returns to voice the Dark Knight Minifigure, who is profoundly dark and brooding. Michael Cera joins him as Robin, the Boy Wonder, while Rosario Dawson will voice Barbra Gordon, aka Batgirl.
Last week, we saw a video that took us behind the scenes of the making of the film. Now a new featurette gets into the bricks of things by taking us to the film’s setting, Gotham City – which is built by LEGO bricks, of course – for an episode of “Gotham Cribs.” Check out the video below.

‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ Featurette Feeds Title Character’s Brooding Ego

When we first saw The Batman (Will Arnett) in The LEGO Movie, he was a dark and brooding superhero who did not play well with others. Worst of all, he was playing second fiddle to a nobody. However, the Dark Knight Minifigure believes that he was the reason why The LEGO Movie was such a huge success. And because of that, he is convinced that the world is ready for The LEGO Batman Movie.
A new featurette titled “Behind The Bricks” brings us closer to the characters in the upcoming film. Unlike traditional featurettes, this one interviews the actual characters as Minifigures. Check it out here below.

‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ Trailer: Batman Takes It Back To 1966

Last week, the first teaser for The LEGO Batman Movie was released online to much fanfare. It was nearly impossible to contain the overwhelmingly positive reaction that the trailer has sparked. And as such, we are getting yet another teaser that will surely make you giddy. While the first one gave us a look at the Caped Crusader’s beatboxing and mic-dropping skills, along with a small tour of the LEGO Batcave, the newest one gives us a look at Wayne Manor in all its LEGO-built glory, and Alfred (voiced by Ralph Fiennes), who reminds Batman (voiced by Will Arnett) just how many times he has looked at a portrait of him and his parents in the many previous films.
Check it out below.
