| NYCC 2012: The Walking Dead: You Won’t Have To Ask Where’s Carl In Season 3 |

One of the most anticipated season premieres of the Fall TV season, AMC’s adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s beloved comic book series The Walking Dead was showcased in a panel on Saturday at New York Comic-Con at the Jacob Javits Center. The third season debuts tonight at 9pm, and for fans of the apocalyptic zombies at large program, it is sure to be worth the wait and then some. Attendees of the panel at the packed IGN Theater got a sneak peak of the first few minutes of Season 3 Episode 1, which you can read about at the end of this article. Moderated by the always witty Chris Hardwick, who hosts the Talking Dead show on AMC, the cast and crew came out to earth-shattering applause and a standing ovation after the wild and intense clip from the season premiere was shown. The panel consisted of producer Gale Anne Hurd and Robert Kirkman (producer and creator of the comic book series), along with actors Andrew Lincoln, Chandler Riggs, Danai Gurira, David Morrissey, Michael Rooker, and Norman Reedus.

For Marvel Fans, the summer release of The Avengers directed by Joss Whedon has been a challenging act to follow up with. It was an impressive epic release of geekporn, complete with its faults, and since its release, it’s been tough to find other previous Marvel releases to fill the void left by Whedon’s stunning success. And while it’s no alternative for The Avengers film, Netflix does have a bunch of Marvel flicks worth having a look at, including their animated line of releases. One that proves to be a fun diversion is Hulk Vs., an animated double feature that sets everyone’s favorite green giant against Thor and Wolverine.

| ‘Pet Sematary’ & ‘It’ Remake Writer Dave Kajganich To Pen New ‘Creature From The Black Lagoon’
Universal has no problem rebooting their classic monster movie properties every now and again. Not too long ago they remade the great 1941 Lon Chaney classic The Wolf Man, and recent reports have indicated that new versions of Frankenstein (being developed by Guillermo del Toro) and The Mummy (currently set to be directed by Len Wiseman) aren’t too far off. Another property Universal has been trying to remake for a couple of decades now with little luck, is 1954’s Creature from the Black Lagoon. Now it appears that they’re ready to give it another go with the announcement that they’ve found a writer for the remake. It’s being reported that Dave Kajganich has been hired to pen the screenplay, and that he’ll be starting from scratch.

In what has to be the biggest announcement to come out of this year’s New York Comic Con is the revelation that Clark Gregg will return as the beloved character Agent Phil Coulson in Marvel’s planned S.H.I.E.L.D. television series. The TV show will be helmed by Avengers director Joss Whedon, along with fellow Executive Producers Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen Jeffery Bell, and Jeph Loeb. Few details about the show are available at this point, in fact Gregg’s casting may be the first real news we’ve heard about who will be in the show. | Watch Now: Michigan State Coach Tom Izzo Dressed As Iron Man |

Michigan State Basketball coach Tom Izzo has a tradition of making a big entrance at the yearly Midnight Madness basketball kickoff, and this year he added a bit of Marvel flair to his entrance. The coach flew down from a zipline in full Iron Man costume for this year’s celebration, and he was even accompanied by a miniature Captain America and some Black Widow groupies.
