Comics are a labor of love and a literary genre that receives far too little press, not to mention praise. So, in the spirit of “there is no such thing as bad or in this case mixed, publicity” let’s move on. Bluewater Productions is an independent publishing company who specialize in biography comics. Their latest offering in this genre arriving in late September appears to be a mixed bag, with its heart in the right place, and its tongue firmly planted in cheek. Elizabeth Taylor: Tribute is a 40 page short graphic novel in their ongoing Female Force series highlighting the important achievements of famous women from Hillary Clinton to Marilyn Monroe. Writer Dina Gachman blends pop culture with historical facts to highlight what made Dame Elizabeth Taylor such a celebrated actress and public figure, but is a bit heavy on the fizzy pop.

| Full Theater Listing & TV Spot For One-Day 50th Anniversary Re-Release Of ‘Lawrence Of Arabia’
A while back a trailer for the restored 50th anniversary edition of Lawrence of Arabia was released, and with it came word that the movie would also likely be getting a theatrical re-released in celebration of the milestone. The theatrical re-release has since been confirmed, but it won’t be an extended run. It won’t even be two days. For one day and one day only this Thursday, October 4th, at 7:00 p.m. local the classic movie will return to select theaters in all its restored glory. | HBO Orders ‘Boardwalk Empire’ Season 4
HBO likes what they’re seeing in the third season of Boardwalk Empire, which just got underway recently. It’s been announced that the show has been renewed again, giving us a fourth season of the hit period drama next fall. For those of you unfamiliar with the show, it’s set in 1920s Atlantic City (with visits to New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia as necessary) during Prohibition. It follows Enoch “Nucky” Thompson (Steve Buscemi) as a friendly public figure by day who leads a dark second life of crime as the man to see about buying liquor.
