Ah, Lego. Is there anything these colorful plastic blocks of wonderment can’t do?
Apparently not. Someone who goes by the name of Yatkuu enjoys making Lego sets based on numerous inspirations, including the great films of our time. So of course they got the bright idea to create a Lego set based on Shaun of the Dead, the classic British horror-comedy that launched the careers of its stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost and director Edgar Wright, who also co-wrote the film with Pegg.
You can check out pictures of Yaktuu’s Shaun-inspired Lego set here below.
Yaktuu has recreated both the interior and exterior of the Winchester, the pub and favorite hangout of Pegg and Frost’s characters and the setting for the movie’s third act when a horde of zombies invade the establishment looking for more than hog lumps and a frosty pint. The interior set depicts one of Shaun of the Dead‘s famous scenes, where the characters give a nasty beatdown to a zombie while Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” provides the soundtrack.
An excellent job on this set, but Yaktuu, whoever they are, gave Shaun way too much. He looks like some moron TV anchorman.
You can check out more of Yatkuu’s pop culture-inspired Lego set-ups, including Lego recreations of movies like The Road and The Mist and the stage from U2’s Zoo TV tour, at their Flickr photostream.
