AT-AT

The Star Tours attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios had its grand opening 22 years ago today on January 13, 1990.

Disney Parks Blog posted a photo from taken in 1989 of the 35-foot AT-AT at the entrance of the Star Wars-themed attraction, which was still under construction at the time (check out the image here above).

Star Tours, which is located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Disney World in Orlando, FL, was recently revamped to include elements from the Star Wars prequels and was redubbed Star Tours –The Adventures Continue in 3-D. (And I’ll be experiencing this attraction this weekend!!!)

  1. A tip from an insider–when you get to Hollywood Studios, beeline for Toy Story Mania (which is hilarious!) and get a FastPass for it, then head over to Star Tours because the lines move much faster for that ride.

    And HAVE FUN!!!!!

    Smiles!
    Lori
